New members of the team

We have recruited four new members of staff to our award-winning team: two architectural technicians, Adam Stephens and his partner Caroline Richardson, as well as an associate planner, Adam Williams, and technical and administrative assistant, Vikki Ayling, and their appointments bring the number of staff across our Truro and Liskeard offices to 19.
Adam Stephens, who studied architecture at the University of Lincoln, said: “Caroline and I have wanted to work here for some time, but the company wasn’t recruiting when we first moved back to Cornwall.
“We were incredibly impressed with the company’s clientele and portfolio of high end, bespoke properties and coastal developments.
“We both love designing bespoke houses, not just because you’re creating something beautiful, but because of the close working relationships you develop with your clients.
“Laurence Associates has a really good reputation and we’re happy and excited to be working here.”
Adam Williams worked as a planning officer at Plymouth City Council before joining us, and he specialises in the preparation of planning applications, carrying out feasibility studies, and overseeing pre-application negotiations with local authorities.
“This firm favours high quality design over other companies I’ve been involved with,” he said.
“It isn’t about volume housing; it’s about quality. The team is highly experienced; it takes difficult sites and realises the visions of the client, which I like.”
Our Managing Director, Richard Marsden said: “We have enjoyed a great year, both in terms of successful planning decisions and appeals, and some really ambitious housing projects.
“We want to attract more commissions from further afield, and these terrific additions to our team will allow us to do that.”
