Magazine coverage for our projects - Summer 2017

Laurence Associates' acquisition of Liskeard-based planning consultancy, Urban & Rural Planning Associates, was widely reported earlier in the year. The move allows us to extend our reach in south east Cornwall, and across the border into Devon.
Sarah Johnson's appointment as Laurence Associates' principal architect has been reported in a number of publications, including Architects Data File, The Falmouth Packet, and Business Cornwall. Passionate about creating top quality designs, Sarah has worked at practices in London and Australia, attracting commissions on a range of projects.
Sarah was invited to contribute to an article in Architect News on women working within the construction industry. She was in good company, joined by Simone de Gale, who was presented with the coveted Architect of the Year trophy at the Women in Construction Awards 2017, as well as Cora Kwiatowski, divisional director at Stride Treglown.
Design Director, Jason Pledger, was featured in a multi-page Q&A in the July edition of i-build magazine. Jason spoke candidly about his architectural career, his most notable design projects to date, and some of the greatest challenges faced by people who want to build their own homes.
The Mowhay, our ambitious scheme to convert three long-forgotten stone outbuildings at St Gluvius near Penryn into a family home, was featured in i-build magazine in July. The four-page article documented the transformation and included a lengthy interview with The Mowhay's owner, Dan Thompson.
We were thrilled to have one of our most prestigious self-builds featured in Grand Designs magazine in August. The article, Getting Started, offered detailed, no-nonsense advice on building your own home, from finding the right plot, through to obtaining planning permission and managing your budget. Our design for Gwel-An-Treth, a spectacular £1-million holiday home nestled on a steep site overlooking Sennen Cove, was included in the five-page feature.
'Meet Cornwall's Most Incredible Modern Home' was the apt title of a Homify feature on Sand Dunes at Cubert, a contemporary, energy-efficient house completed earlier this summer. It's an impressive, spacious home, bathed in natural light and enjoying far-reaching countryside views.
